Story of a gun-clapper really tryna make a change
Everybody ain't (blessed my nigga)
Yes, my nigga, you're blessed
Take advantage, do your best, my nigga
from Schoolboy Q (Ft. Kendrick Lamar) – Blessed Lyrics 1 on Rap Genius
Story of a young thug being reckless in the streets that has a chance to get out of the hood and away from crime. He betta take advantage of this opportunity so that nothing bad will happen.
He’s having a conflict with himself. The gangbanging side of him is starting to have doubts and says that everybody isn;t blessed so why try rapping. Then his rapping side says yes, you are blessed. He needs to take advantage of what is in front of him. He has all this talent so he needs to do something with it.
Possibly saying that even though he shoots guns if you look into the history of gangs you will see that their orignial purpose was not to fight each other but try and make it equal between the government and the people
