Tried to go to Amsterdam they threw us in Guantanamo

from Das Racist – Rainbow in the Dark Lyrics on Rap Genius

Meaning

A reference to the movie “Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay,” where the titular characters attempt to go to Amsterdam, but are instead sent to Guantanamo.

This line also ties back to Kool A.D.’s first verse, where he’s talking about White Castle. He’s referencing the first Harold and Kumar flick. Kool A.D. could be jokingly comparing himself and Heems to Harold and Kumar because of their fairly similar ethnicity, and their propensity to smoke weed every day.
