After debris settles and the dust get swept off
Big K pick up where young Hov left off
This could be a reference to the famed 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. September 11th, 2001 (day of the attacks) was also the day that Jay-Z’s The Blueprint dropped to rave reviews. The attack was very well known for the fact that it caused large amounts of dust to linger for a long time.
Kanye West made a huge step forward in breaking into the game when he contributed to the production for a select few of the songs on the album.
After the Blueprint dropped, Jay himself lingered or a while, right up until the release of his supposed “retirement album” in 2003 – The Black Album. The next year, in 2004, Kanye released his College Dropout on Roc-A-Fella Records, the label owned by Jay-Z. Kanye was picking up where Jay [Young Hov’] left in 2003.
