But things really did done change since that song, as rapper became another popular career choice for the poor black kids.

Since Kanye wasn’t that athletic and couldn’t shoot a jump shot or run a track meet, he decided that he would just become a rapper, expecting that there would be less pitfalls in that career. But even though there weren’t literal sacks and injuries, the rap game is very fickle and difficult to stay relevant in.
