Here, Soul Khan is using a collective “you,” or second person plural, as in “you two,” “you all,” or, for Soul Khan’s old school Brooklyn appreciation, “yous.” Translation, he is saying, “For their mother’s sake, I hope [you two, you and your child] ain’t similar.” Even on vinyl, Soul Khan never fails to rip on someone when the opportunity arises … oddly enough in this case, on himself. Hence, the “just playing” in the following line.
