Hoodie on like Trayvon
Trayvon Martin was wearing a hoodie when George Zimmerman murdered him and many people tried to make it seem like wearing a hoodie was an indicator that he was “up to no good” in an attempt to justify the slaying. Soulo has on a hoodie in order to show solidarity with Trayvon as well as to illustrate that he “is Trayvon Martin” in the sense that all black men in hoodies are potential targets for discrimination and injustice the way Trayvon was.
Also note Soulo’s brand of hoodie here is Deadline, alluding to Trayvon’s death.
