Martyrs talks money causes in a harvesting Spartacus
This line might refer to people who sacrifice their lives for money—martyrs for the cause of money—and people who profit by co-opting revolutions and rebellion (Spartacus is a Greek slave-rebel, and harvesting him might mean selling revolution—maybe the same way companies make money by selling Che t-shirts and shit).
Spartacus was a Gladiator who escaped from his homeland (approximately modern Bulgaria) after having been condemned to slavery in mines. He led a rebellion throughout southern Italy but was eventually killed along with most of his mates. The survivors were crucified along the Appian Way. In the line Aesop might refer to the story as an action of virtue (just like that of the 9-5ers), betrayed by those above “cretins”.
