He could also be discussing the beginning of his carreer with Def Jam. Comparing the beach, to underground music and the sea to mainstream. How did he get so far away from music with substance such as “2000 and beyond,” “children of the world,” to “Yea thats me”, “Money on the floor”(disclaimer: I like Money on the floor but it is a strip club joint with no “substance”.) The Label has taken away a significant portion of his freedom to create music the way he wants and “shackled” him into creating “radio music” and “club bangers.”
