Problem with our people, there's too many wanna-be Jordan
Too many forces thinking they could make a fortune scorin'
Too many wanna-be actors instead of achieving their masters
At least a bachelors but no, too many wanna-be rappers
Some people don’t want to put work in in the books to get a degree. They would rather chase the dream of being a basketball player, an actor, or a rapper, but they don’t realize the chance of success in those fields is much smaller than just going to school. .
Kanye West also went through this dilemma with his mom:
“too many forces” is a play on words. He means too many people banking the chance at being a professional athelete. “forces” could also mean Air Jordan Forces, a reference to the previous line.
