Hold up, I ain't trying to stunt, man
But these Yeezys jumped over the Jumpman
Kanye recently released the Air Yeezy 2 shoes through Nike, and their sale caused a shoe-store frenzy surpassing (at least by Kanye’s reckoning) that of the famous Air Jordan shoes. Because of the success of both the Yeezy 2 and it’s predecessor, Kanye feels his shoes have “jumped over” Jordans in terms of popularity.
More specifically, Kanye could be referring to the Military Blue Air Jordan IVs . They released the same day as the Yeezy 2s, and because of that, they did not sell out nearly as quickly as they would have, had the Yeezy’s not released on the same day.
Also a play on the word “stuntman” as stuntmen usually jump over things or take risks , the yeezys jumped over the jumpman. He also isn’t trying to stunt on Michael Jordan himself.
