Cause she was and you are madly involved, madly involved
Continuing from the previous line, there’s a possible double meaning here: the protagonist and the “blonde” are likely “madly involved” and so they have sex without protection (“hit it raw”).
The use of the words “madly involved” imply that he wasn’t in love with her, but he was heavily involved in her relied heavily on or was addicted to their relationship — like crack.
And so they were “madly involved” and also used to hit the raw, crack. The “was” vs “are” suggests the “blonde” stopped using and moved on, but the protagonist did not.
