1) Literally, Frank’s character is falling off of his roof after having too many bottles of wine. He closes his eyes and prepares to feel himself crash into the ground below. Sadly his drunken foolishness ends in a tragedy.

2) Playing on the “stock market” metaphor from before, he could be bracing himself for the economic crash. Being fed with a silver spoon all his life, he can hardly imagine losing it all.

3) Silver spoons are also often utilized to free base drugs such as heroin or Crack Rock. Drugs like these give users extremely euphoric highs that are nearly always accompanied by a nasty “crash” when the effects of the drugs wear off
