Meaning
Winos, or alcoholics, attend church services in order to drink the consecrated wine which Catholics believe to be the blood of Christ. In Roman Catholic theology, transubstantiation is the term for the change of bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Bo thwarts Catholicism by entwining this ceremony with transsexualism, an idea which the Catholic church does not accept (“trans-gendered-substantiation”).
