Took a sip then another sip, then somebody said to me:
He was casually drinking then somebody told him to drink more and quicker. There’s no such thing as “casual” drinking.
But could this “someone” telling him to drink more actually be the first couple drinks? When most people start drinking, they have a few then end up just getting totally hammered.
A common theme in this album is peer pressure. A whole song is dedicated to the topic, (see “The Art of Peer Pressure”). This line could show how easily 17 year old Kendrick, (who this album is about), can be influenced as he does become drunk and questioning his life and relationships by the end of the song.
