She never took time out of her day
To listen to what others had to say
Makin' six figures she thought she was okay
So she dedicated herself to just work and never play
Never prayed even one of the 5 times in the day
But she figured that she would be successful anyway
One day mom came to her and she asked her

She calmly sipped her coffee and thought up a good reply
Mother I could be religious up until the day I die
But work is something that a lot of people are denied
And here I am, my bank account never running dry
I can't have both now, so I'm choosing my career

Nightmare's a reality, this was a living Hell
And from her mother's eyes, a cascade of tears fell
