Show Me The War Lyrics

[Hook]

[Verse]

They say the heart speaks
The mind listens to the heart's beat
On a battlefield that's half beats and even less so
When the heart bleeds for life, that's fear
I ask myself how did I get here answer
Something 'bout politicians and code
Of my honour sold thoughts for souls

That's war told, from the role of a dying solider
Just before it swallowed his life
When he closed his eyes and felt colder
Battlefield now melts close
Chilling to the bone stilling
No story in glorious spilling

Blood
No war
Just warriors
Killing

[Outro]
War, we've become desensitised to the word but the reality remains
It just leaves brutality and fatality remains
"We should go to war", its almost a casual saying now
But when we say it, do we think about the lives paying with blood stains of the casualties slain
On a battlefield where pain claims lives, eyes slay minds, lips break ties and brains say die?
Where the insanity's sane
Or are we just saying?
See I don't know but especially in recent times I feel, and this may sound cliché-ish
But its about time we change this
I say give a politician an AK, some grenades, a combat knife
Let them fight for their ideals

While we save lives by not taking them in the first place
That goes to both sides
I say it's better we learn together than fight forever. better we all own homes than hold hold vendettas

You only have to think about what's right, what's human, what's life
