Here they are shouting out KRIT’s hometown of Meridian, Mississippi. As KRIT has mentioned on numerous occasions, he will rep Meridian and Mississippi until the day he dies as that was where he was raised and grew into a man.

Above: A tattoo KRIT got to show his loyalty to Mississippi.

This is sampled from the film, The Kid Stays in the Picture, and basically mirror’s KRIT’s thoughts on making it big. Just like the guy in this sample was lucky to be discovered, KRIT was lucky to be discovered by fans/his label, which allowed to get rich and famous, and he is thankful that it was him that was chosen by luck/God instead of someone else.

A common theme in many relationships: Even though KRIT loves this girl, she can’t convince him to marry her (or budge), but despite this she still tries her hardest to convince him to propose. (The example given is her pointing out every tux they see and asking him if he likes it because the Groom wears a tuxedo at a wedding, so if he said he did like it, that would symbolize him finally being ready for marriage).

Unlike most girls who only chase men for money, KRIT’s girl truly loves him for what he is — he doesn’t have to sing like platinum selling artist Ne-Yo, or dance like the famed singer Usher, or even be rich like rap mogul Jay Z to impress her.

She loves him for who he is, and through thick or thin she will always be by his side, so for that he loves her forever as well.

This refers to Big KRIT’s old producer alias, Kritikal Productions, however, he now just uses his rap name while producing. This is the intro to denote the fact that he produced almost the entire mixtape himself.

This track’s beat is sampled from Outkast’s classic track, Two Dope Boyz (In a Cadillac).

At the time this tape was released, NBA superstar, Kobe Bryant was playing some of the best basketball of his life and had just come off a finals appearance. And, the New England Patriots had just completed only the 2nd perfect regular season in NFL history, going 16-0.

So, KRIT feels like them, he feels like he is at the top of the rap and pimping game, and like he is the perfect MC, he knows he is at the top of everything skills wise, hence the title of the mixtape, See Me On Top III.

KRIT is so good at showing off and flashing his wealth to get attention/girls (or stunting), it is almost like he is the famous stunt man, Evel Knievel, who was famous for his public daredevil events that brought him girls and fortune. KRIT is trying to match Knievel’s success and exposure.
