I originally wrote this song back when I was a Junior in high school. I had just broken up with my girl and I was heartbroken. It just so happened that on the way to school, I was listening to DJ Quik and the Dedication track on the Quik is the Name album came on. When I got home that afternoon, I actually wrote the first verse while sitting on the edge of my bed. The second verse was written about 10 years later. The premise of the song is that I’m praying to God asking the age old question; “Why Me?”
