[Chorus]

I'm in a two-door
I'm in a new lane
I'm counting new money
I need a new name

You want everything, so let's do everything, hey

They moving too slow
We on a new plane
So high it ain't funny
Your love is insane

Genius Annotation

“I Know What You Want” is a song by Cassie recorded for her debut mixtape RockaByeBaby. It samples Kendrick Lamar’s 2012 song “m.A.A.d city” and was the third track from the project to receive an official music video. In the artsy visuals, directed by Christopher LaTouche and JayOhh, Cassie rides down Rodeo on her bike and pours Ciroc on two men. The clip also features some creative illustrations by Eric-Shabazz Larkin.

What did Cassie say about "I Know What You Want"?
Genius Answer

“I did the Kendrick Lamar remix called “I Know What You Want.” I was apprehensive to get on the Kendrick track. He’s so big this year and last year. You want to be careful with the things you touch on with certain fans and things like that. I wanted to take chances and I wanted to do things that had me step outside my comfort zone, which I think I did. I’m still experimenting everyday with records and I’m like, “Man, I want to try something like that.” I might go to the studio and try it. Sometimes it doesn’t work, and maybe it does.” – Cassie, April 2013
