First, let me fix the lyrics, then I’ll explain what they mean… It’s “We ride in, we gonna W-I-N. I will check a bitch ass like a O-B-G-Y-N”
Now, to explain it. He’s saying they ride in and are going to win(I’m assuming by “we” he means him and his brother Kid Vishis). and he will check a girls ass like a OBGYN, which is what most hospitals and such shorten for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
@timrogers
Fall Out Boy does this often. Pete Wentz is friends with rappers. He mentions in an interview just casually about having lunch with 2 Chainz. They also have had rappers collaborating on their albums since ‘06 with Infinity On High. The opening song “Thriller”, starts with an introduction from none other than Jay-Z, followed by an epic combination of drums and guitar, with Jay at the end saying “Young, F.O.B.”. And then on Folie a Deux, Lil Wayne is featured on “Tiffany Blews”, granted it was only a small part, like a few bars that kinda repeated. And THEN on Patrick Stumps solo album, he had a song with Lupe Fiasco called “My City”. So idk if it’ll be a trend to all bands, but it is at least to the only one that really matters, Fall Out Boy.
It’s kinda sad that I didn’t even have to search for any of this… lol. Been a FOB fan for like 9 or 10 years. The only current rock band that I’ve ever really liked, besides Linkin Park, of with is for the obvious reason(I’m a huge fan of hip hop).
It sounds like he says dear lord as “dealer”, which would lead into the “Truth be told he juiced me, introduced me to the lucy leaf.”
I’m not saying the lyrics are incorrect, they are correct, I just think Chance was pronouncing it that way to purposefully sound like “dealer”.
Haha Chris, idk if it was intentional or not but I thought the same thing. I actually came on here just to see if anyone else had picked that up.
Also to add to what davstep said, which is what I believe is the explanation of it, is also referring to Chris Browns response to it when Chris was asked about his thoughts on Frank coming out. His response was “No homo”.
I’m pretty sure he mentioned that Jay-Z was one of his influences on his rapping style in an interview. So why would he diss him. It is in a way saying how jay-z now rapping about swag and money instead of his old ways is making him fall off. It can be taken that the whole killing metaphor is referencing that if jay keeps up rapping the way he is, Q will take his spot and jay will completely fall off.
I think he says it that way to set up the Vicodin line, because Acetaminophen is in Vicodin.
The first line and this go to together with the last words in a further wordplay. Here is one video on it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qkDFkJKc4E&feature=related(Not the greatest).
People theorize they rule the world along with the Illuminati. Seems Flacko is making a joke out of it with hidden wordplay.
Sad thing is that Valium gets prescribed for alcohol withdraw, but Valium itself is highly addictive…
Except that he does… lol
Ableton sucks in my opinion… MPKs are nice, but the program I find kinda shitty… Could be wrong seeing as how once I saw how cheesy it looked I deleted it.
