[[Dan le Sac]]
Scroobius Pip, uh, what's your opinion of UK hip hop?

[[Scroobius Pip]]
Uh, well, I, uh, don't think there's that much going on. There's some, there's some great stuff, don't get me wrong. There are some amazing albums, but a lot of people are just doing the same thing over and over again. It just gets a bit monotonous. Here, mess the beat up, and show us what you think, dan le sac

[Scroobius Pip - Hook]

Hip Hop is art
Don't make another pop hit, be smart

Take it back to the start
Like KRS and Rakim use passion and heart

[Scroobius Pip - Verse 1]

Don't get me wrong, I ain't dissing Dizzee Rascall
I'm just using this beat as a single example
It was the first big hit of its kind in the pop charts
All a lot of shit with profit in mind, not heart
Channel U is full of (UK songs and ringtones)
They should all have (P45's to bring home)
Prancing about like they're the next big thing
Cause their cousin's got an 8 track and their mate daryll can sing
These kids getting above their stations and saying
They're a vessel through which a higher power's conveying
"my lyrical content is a miracle, godsent"

My name is Scroobius Pip and I say fuck all that nonsense
Their lyrical prognosis is like spiritual osmosis
In that everything they say evaporates into boasts
, it's a joke
I looked and I can't even find one quote that's
Worth using as a reference or even as a footnote
Yeah, most of these kids could get their guns out and kill me
But how many have the skill to inspire and thrill me?

I've got a holster I keep biscuits in it
It works into your brain leaving big fat blisters in it
Who am I better than? I'm better than I used to be
I'mma keep on getting better so you better just get used to me
If you think that's a cop out then hear my point truthfully
Cause chances are, this is how you should to be
If your only goal is to be as good as scroobius pip
Then as soon as you achieve that, your standards will slip
If your only goal is always to improve on yourself
Then the quest is never over no matter how big your wealth

[Hook x 10]

What did Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip say about "Fixed"?
Genius Answer

While discussing Kendrick Lamar’s verse on the newly released “Control” in an August 2013 episode of his Xfm) radio show “The Beatdown”, Scroobius Pip compared the Big Sean track with this song:

I’ve seen a lot of rappers on Twitter kinda discussing [Control] and then making it about them and I’m gonna kinda do the same. On my first album with Dan Le Sac, I had a track called “Fixed” and that was basically calling out UK hip-hop and saying, y'know, “up your game”. I will always remember playing that. We were supporting RZA at the O2 and there was a lot of the UK hip-hip scene in the room and they didn’t know who we were and we dropped that track and it was kind of a “if you are offended by this then come and do better” … and [Control] is just calling out people individually, which again I didn’t have the balls to do in that way.
