I grasp it, but it quickly slips between my clasped fingers
I yearn to capture a lost moment, yet see it into darkness fall
I realize for a brief second, the face of Yesterday still lingers

This face of innocent childhood from days of fond, idle play
Beckons me to to listen closely to its faint calling...
