Evil temptations have developed alongside humanity. He stresses that while humanity has came a long way from simple organisms in the water, our actions are far more evil than other, simpler species. “We’ve learned nothing.”

“I know now my God heals”
The countdown from 5 to 2 are Tyler’s alter ego’s getting killed off. It stops at 2 because the only one’s remaining are Tyler and Sam, and then they go to war. The music video shows 3 dead Tyler’s which represent the one’s previously killed off.
Nostalgia
Also consider the irony that his first three solo projects (Bastard, Goblin, and Wolf) have been centered around therapy sessions with his “shrink” Dr. TC.However, since his fans still don’t understand him and constantly complain, he has the urge to literally refrain from another album and be more straight forward with recording a literal therapy session and sending it to everyone hassling him.
It’s ridiculous how someone can take one line from a song without analyzing it’s entirety and assume a completely different message. Tyler is constantly overlooked as a babbling idiot yet is truly nothing short of genius. His use of paradoxes, split personalities, depression, stubbornness, and defiance towards conformity is something music’s never witnessed (Not to mention the fact he produces, works on album artwork and videos, has a TV show, and run’s Odd Future). It’s ironic that people will point out song’s like this to make a point that Tyler’s a negative influence on listeners when all he stresses is to follow your dreams and formulate your own ideas and beliefs.
He explains that this “girl” is his everything through contrasting dualities. In order for one to hold meaning, the other must exist, and he becomes bound to her in both ways.
Narcissism is often thought of as a cover of insecurities and self-loathing. The paradox that is Earl. Arrogant and bold, yet unsatisfied and disturbed.
“Tonight I feel immortal”
Quote from the movie, Billy Madison.
The earth seen as one unified object is blue and green. Humanity has taken over, and through violence, we’ve tried to gain as much land as possible with the meaningless colors we have created as flags, and tore ourselves apart. This creates the same sadness in the eyes of the blind one from the first verse, resulting in yellow once again.
