Genius Annotation

“Not Just Money” is a recording of Rosie Watson (the mother of Frank Ocean’s friend, Jonathan, and known to Ocean as “Auntie Rosie”) providing Ocean with some stern advice about the importance & value of money.

Auntie Rosie would reprise her role as a scolding mother on Ocean’s second album, Blonde, appearing on the track “Be Yourself.”

This skit is fittingly followed by “Super Rich Kids,” a song about wasting money, partying, and the pitfalls of a spoiled youth.
