About

Genius Annotation

Considering the tumulus/violent environment that Hollywood Undead transcended as a result of Swan Songs and Desperate Measures, this is a track resonant with the societal ills that families in Los Angeles face.

“City” is pretty metaphoric and self-referential; considering the band’s ascent to fame, they asked if anybody wished to accompany them during their rise, an ascent comparable to arson enactments.

It was first recorded sometime in 2005 but was oddly never put up on the band’s MySpace page. It was then re-recorded, remastered, and intended for release on Hollywood Undead (an unreleased album) in 2007.
