Surpassing the Master Lyrics

A youngin running through life with the mind of a novice
No knowledge on how to flock through all the odds of a province
The spirit of youthful essence in his early adolescence
Till the bliss of ignorance existed actively present
Wanted to fight within the battlegrounds
But didn’t know where to start
Wanted to venture through the fields around
But didn’t have the heart
An untrained, unskilled, worthless liability
A weakling discreetly visioning high ability

Until one day he just said fuck it
No more running no more duckin
So he picked up a blade
Headed straight for the summit
But often he would plummet
His will alone just wouldn’t cut it
Losing battle after battle
Couldn’t handle on the gravel
The weakest of the links
Always defeated to his knees
Only strong thing about him was what he was dreaming to be
Until a wiser and stronger leader took him under his wing
Threw him some armor and took charge to make him something elite

The youngin looked at his leader as the one role to be
Every move he tried copy like control and C
This leader was highly respected by all of the other warriors
And the youngin was enthralled by how he was ever hardly hurt
Or hardly scurred, a step below invulnerability
And the leader offered him his teachings to further his ability
Years of diligent training as a shadow of his idol
Fear wasn't imminent shaping as he acted like his idol
Battles were won, and he became a master of his own
With the guide of a leader, he was the fastest to grow
Learned how to slash all his foes,
And how to tackle and throne,
But he couldn’t seem to do this if his master left him alone

He wasn’t building a better him, he was building a clone
Simulating a veteran, and couldn’t think for his own
So when the day came that his teacher turned against him
This was the harshest way this youngin had to learn a lesson
