A sucker emcee is just slang for a bad emcee. Rakim’s strategy to take them out is too destroy them, so bad that it will be a catastrophe, a disaster.

After hes done destroying the emcee, everyone will respect his skill but, will also fear it, just like a roman god and his power.

  • Years after this, it is still debated through out the hip-hop community that he is the god of all emcees — so he was right!

Rap battles are generally timed but, he’s probably talking about battles in the hood. He would rap until he hands it to the opponent to spit his rhymes, but with the amount rhymes Rakim has — it will never happen.

During battles when something is said that the crowd loves, everybody makes a lot of noise, and the rapper has to pause for a moment, and he waits for the crowd too calm down to spit rhymes again.

Yo, you over annotated a bit on this. If you simple down the tate I will accept it.

"Yup, yup, How ya doin' today? / Let me crank you up a lil..." (Yelawolf – Box Chevy Pt. 1) | rejected

Come on… If you’re going to delete my annotation and then make your own, at least use better grammar.
