“Falling Away from Me” is the second track, and lead single, off of Korn’s fourth album, Issues.

The song deals with domestic abuse and the effects it has on the mental state of its victims, such as suicidal ideation and anxiety over the situation.

The song initially premiered on the South Park episode “Korn’s Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery” on October 27th, 1999 and was released to radio the next day. As the song grew in popularity, it was being uploaded to file-sharing clients under the false name “Beating Me Down.”

The single was a commercial success, peaking on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 at #8 on Christmas Day 1999 as well as #7 on the Mainstream Rock Charts on January 9th, 2000 and charting in 6 countries overall.
