Tires SCREECH outside. Dude 2 stands up. There's a small crash outside. Yelling

VOICE: FREEZE!

GUNSHOTS

The Boy and Dude 2 look at each other

Dude 1 kicks open the door. He starts firing. Dude 2 falls. A mist of red puff spurts from his chest. He's screaming

Dude 1 turns to The Boy and sho

Uts “BANG!” He lols and walks over to Dude 2

Dude 1: Fuck you Ryan

He shoots Ryan (Dude 2) in the back. Ryan doesn’t move anymore

He looks at The Boy

Dude 1: Walk to the statue

The Boy walks through the house in shock. He’s lost in his mind. While walking he kicks over a wine glass half emptied with Pelegrino. It clinks and pours out into the living room, flooding a spider’s web along the way
He notices all the dishes left dirty, lights left on, and doors left open. It’s a temple. Desecrated. Nothing has a purpose anymore. He wonders what the first person to find his body would think. They would probably think he was the villain. This was his formal surrender to venom. In a way, they wouldn’t be wrong

Dude 1: Kneel down

The Boy sits on his knees in front of his best friend

The Boy can see Ryan’s body lying on the floor. His blood slowly pools. The Pelegrino trickles into the pool, tracing the path of least resistance. The boy notices Ryan’s clothes. They look kind of messy, but cool

The Boy’s phone rings. Dude 1 answers

It’s Carlo. The suicide plan got fucked. Now we’ve got two dead cops along with Ryan, Donnie, and Roscoe. I’ve got everything he had but it doesn’t even begin to cover what he owed. I’m taking care of the kid right now and then we can start on his contact list
