Endless Love Lyrics

[Verse 1: Lionel Richie & Diana Ross]
My love
There's only you in my life
The only thing that's right
My first love
You're every breath that I take
You're every step I make

[Chorus: Lionel Richie, Diana Ross & Both]
And I (I), I want to share
All my love with you
No one else will do
And your eyes (Your eyes, your eyes)
They tell me how much you care
Oh, yes, you will always be
My endless love

[Verse 2: Diana Ross, Lionel Richie & Both]
Two hearts
Two hearts that beat as one
Our lives have just begun

Forever (Oh, oh-oh-ooh)
I'll hold you close in my arms
I can't resist your charms

[Chorus: Diana Ross, Lionel Richie & Both]
And love (Oh, love)
I'll be a fool for you, I'm sure
You know I don't mind (Oh, you know I don't mind)
'Cause you, you mean the world to me, oh
I know (I know)
(I've found) I've found in you my endless love
[Bridge: Lionel Richie & Diana Ross, Lionel Richie]
Oh-oh, oh-oh-ooh
Boom, boom
Boom-boom-boom-boom, boom-boom
Boom, boom, boom-boom, boom

[Chorus: Lionel Richie, Diana Ross & Both]
Oh-oh-ooh, and love (Oh, love)
I'll be that fool for you, I'm sure
You know I don't mind (Oh, you know I don't mind)
And I don't mind

[Outro: Lionel Richie, Diana Ross & Both]
And, yes
You'll be the only one

'Cause no one can deny
This love I have inside
And I'll give it all to you

My love (My love, my love)
My endless love

Genius Annotation

“Endless Love” is a song written by Lionel Richie and originally recorded as a duet between Richie and fellow soul singer Diana Ross, recorded for the eponymous 1981 movie starring Brooke Shields (which in turn adapted a novel). In this ballad, the singers declare their “endless love” for one another.

The song went to #1 in Australia, Canada and the US that summer. It was Ross' sixth and final chart-topper in America, and Richie’s first of five (as a solo artist). In 2011, Billboard named it the biggest duet of all-time.

It was later covered by soul singer Luther Vandross with R&B singer Mariah Carey, and also by country music singer Shania Twain. Richie’s friend (and sometimes co-worker) Kenny Rogers has also recorded the song.
