About

Genius Annotation

On “Huey & Riley”, I rap my thoughts stemming from both primary directors of my personality, the smart/conscious/critical side (Huey), and the fun-loving/immature/media-influenced/more comedic side (Riley); all over an incredible beat that Kanye West produced for Common on the “Be” album a few years back.

Part of the influence in giving my track this title was hearing J. Cole mention the contrasting cartoon brothers on his song, “Can I Live” off The Warm Up mixtape.

I think my verse on this is one of my better punchline-filled stanzas, even though it covers some serious topics.
