RG Interview #8: Aaron Deux Lyrics

How did you start rapping?
I started rapping around 6th grade. I originally started making beats end of 5th grade, but had nobody to rap on them so I just said fuck it and started rapping on them myself. I really didn’t get serious until 8th grade year though

Who are your musical influence?
Kanye, Ryan Leslie, Kendrick Lamar, Little Dragon, I actually have alot of influences… too many to name actually

Tell us how Thinking Minds came about
Well I had that beat in my vault for a while. Originally it was just the sample and I didn’t know how to chop it up and make a song, so I just left it sitting for a good 2 months. Then just one day, I opened it back up and everything came together and I made the beat. I thought that shit was dope so I wrote a chorus to it. Then when I liked the chorus, I wrote a verse to it. Eventually I asked Psyonik then Isaiah to hop on it. It just came together perfectly, I actually made that song by accident haha

How do you feel about your ranking?
I was actually surprised as hell. I really kinda thought RG didn’t fuck with me no more since I went AWOL for a while last year after the First RG Rap Battle. It’s cool that my music still speaks for itself

Do you have any other projects in the works as of now?
“NORMAL” and Isaiah’s album

What do you have to say to your fans and your voters?
Thanks I really didn’t think I would even be noticed, that why I never really commented in those threads cause I thought I kinda knew what the rankings would be so yeah thanks :) no sus

Where do you want to eventually end up in terms of your music?
I want to go as far as I can with music without feeling like I could’ve done more with it. I make music for me because it’s the only thing thats different about me. Ultimately, I just want to drop something that would be remembered…
