I’m strapped with rap when I attack, I’m stunning
Darrly Mack on track and I’m off, and running
Don’t sneak this peak, because I keep on taking
The lead with speed, and records keep on breaking

About

Genius Annotation

“They Call Us Run-DMC” is the third track off of Run-D.M.C.’s classic 1988 album Tougher Than Leather.

It’s a simple Run-D.M.C. song: Run and DMC simply let the listeners know who they are and rip the mic apart. By doing this, they again throw subliminals at their competition.

“They Call Us Run-DMC” samples Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick’s “La Di Da Di,” Run-D.M.C.’s own “Jam-Master Jay,” and Juice’s “Catch A Groove.”
