Dude 1 turns to The Boy and looks directly into his eyes. Past his eyes. He walks in The Boy's direction, staring right through an expressionless face. Dude 1 opens the screen door leading to the backyard, still holding his gaze. He fires a shot across the pool

Steve collapses

Dude 1 mouths the words, "You are not your mind," and fires a shot into the pool. The Boy doesn't hear a splash. The Boy doesn't feel anything. In fact, now that he thinks about it, he hasn't felt anything in awhile

Dude 1 walks into the house

DUDE 1

A shot fired into the living room. The Boy is hit, but doesn't feel anything

[A flashback to when The Boy was little, typing "fuck u niggers" into the comment section of a Rich Homie Quan song.]

Dude 1 retreats to the basement. The Boy does not move

He comes back upstairs with a pool cue, and sets the phone on the living room table in front of The Boy. He tries to reach for it, but he cannot move.

Naomi somberly walks in through the screen door. The Boy shows a genuine look of horror. The only genuine emotion he has felt since that day. She grabs the pool cue and rears it back

[The little Boy reaches to press Enter on his computer.]
