The name of Kid Cudi’s former label. Dream on started in 2009 with Emile and Plain Pat, however the label was shortly lived only lasting until 2011.

Kid Cudi shout’s out the words Dream on a few songs, such as Do it Alone (Bigger Than You), and a Freestyle.

Kid Cudi recently parted ways with former label G.O.O.D. Music which he speaks on here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgcpY5nn8YU With leaving G.O.O.D. Cudi has once again chose to establish his own label Wicked Awesome Records or W.A.R.

It’s clear that Cudi has no intent on leaving the motto ‘Dream on’ to die along with the label, though.

The repetition of the word “Awesome” in this verse could be a subtle shout out to Cudi’s own record label, Wicked Awesome Records.
Kid Cudi is going to be working with fellow Cleveland rapper, King Chip.

Notice how the hook this time around has a slight change. This line changed from “I know it’s not alright” to “I’ll never be alright”.
Also take notice how this is after he gave in. After relapsing he felt even more pain than before because he now understands that he is the only one that can stop it, and he just gave in. He proved that he is weaker than his addiction.

Addiction isn’t always clear to the victim. Most of the time the people that seek help are friends or family of the victim, however, that is not the case in this song.
After coming the realization himself, this man knows it his responsibility to end the problem.

He can’t understand why he assumes things and says hurtful things because of the emotions he feels.

Emotions can really change who you think you are. An article of how emotions affect decision-making can be found Here

After looking at the situation and accepting it, the solution became realistic. The Habit is finally being broken.

At first hear this song may sound depressing, but it is quite positive considering it was a means to an end.

The young Mike Shinoda definitely wanted to escape from this “part of him” because he felt it was slowly killing him.

Mike’s method of escape is a little unclear as he could mean he wants to cut himself free from this side of him he hates, or he could mean cutting himself to commit suicide.
After all, it is clear throughout this song that Mike feels trapped.

There is an inner side to Mike that he cannot stand. Although this song is from Linkin Park’s demo, Mike went on and talked about hating a part of himself later in his career.
Shinoda talks about hating a part of himself in the song Figure.09.

There’s no certainty of what exact part of Mike that he hates, but he isn’t exactly quiet about the topic.

Aside from looking in the mirror and noticing the part of himself he may hate, he may be constantly reminded due to his music.

This girl has him by his balls, but because UG pronounces “jewels” similar to “jews” he compares this act to the Holocaust.

Holocaust

The Holocaust was lead by the Nazi’s during WW2. The main goal was to allow the Aryan race reign supreme. It is estimated that 11 million people died, 6 million being Jews. That is what allows the family jewels to be compared to the genocide that occurred in Germany in the mid 1900s.

Auschwitz

Auschwitz was a specific concentration camp during the events of the Holocaust. Auschwitz may be the most well known camp of the several there were. This infamous camp was by far one of the most cruel camps that we know today.

What This Means

This ties into UG’s theme of the entire verse too, where he is talking about crazy women. The way UG says Auschwitz could be heard as “Out your wits”. If a girl is out of her wits then she has lost the ability to understand things.

"And I am not a fronter, better look up the facts" (Kid Cudi – Solo Dolo Part II) | accepted

I feel like this line ties into the previous line saying he will give you the “Will Smith smack” because he has punched a person in his audience before. I think that is the “facts” you better look up.

All this is from his Freestyle with Tim Westwood

“Little bit of humble, little bit of cautious
Somewhere between like Rocky and Cosby"
Here Macklemore is referring to Rocky Balboa’s humility and how Bill Cosby is a very catious man. He considers himself to be a mix of the two attributes.
