Seems as if I've been disrupted by the very thoughts that kept me ticking
Everyone’s so abrupt and with my interests conflicting
Stomach’s turning, sickening feeling leaving me wishing
That it could be different but the thing is... well it just isn’t
So I just sit in this room and continue doing what I’m doing
Bringing to ruin all the bad thoughts and continue pursuing
The dream of finding out exactly what it is that makes me human
Being me all day long, for me and by me, anything to write another song
And that’s just me, you already know this… well, at least hopefully
And if not, why not… where have you been?
Living livid differently? I hold my hand out, beg and plea

Well, well, what we gotta do is stop thinking we’re so damn special
Time we all got along and accepted the rest of the world
Cancel the Olympics if you have to or at least eliminate the flags
Let the top athletes compete by all means but not over who is from the greatest land
Break down all borders and burn all the passports
Then let everything carry on the way it was before
Anyone go anywhere they please; very definition of being free
But the very thought leaves some people weak to the knees and uneasy
Unwilling to accept the very thing that I strive for

Feed the hungry and cure the diseased
Just what are you doing with all that damn money?
What is wrong with you? Can you not see your own people starving?

Should I be worried? What war are you starting?
Should I be darting off into the distance?
When all I wanna do is get lost in these rhythms
Yet sadly I have to sit here and question decisions
You’re making on the daily… it’s making me crazy
And at least I think, 1 or 2 million others amalgamating
Though not even knowing it was even happening
And nothing they could ever have done could ever have changed a thing
Time to feel the sting, the matrix is officially closing
