The girl he picked was one who apparently welcomed drama, which Kendrick has said in “Cut You Off” how much he disliked it.

He wasted his time messing around with her, and he obviously regrets it now.

She’s probably got what she wanted from the relationship, which was most likely money.

Nice wordplay here.
“You had Promise.” Or she had potential.
Promise also sounds like ‘Promised’ which sets him up for the next line.

"Yours is ours" (Kendrick Lamar – Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst) | accepted

I believe he’s referring to the mentality of Youths in Compton, who’ll rob someone simply because they have money. Your power is theirs because they took your money(Power).

"Playas always trying to pop bottles / Niggas love to pop ..." (Kendrick Lamar – Swimming Pools (Black Hippy Remix)) | rejected

That’s Ab-Soul dude, how can you get them confused?? They sound nothing alike, at all.

"These are the days of our lives / Nightmares of a thief c..." (Ab-Soul – Beautiful Death) | accepted

He may not necessarily mean a literal thief coming to rob & kill him, it could simply be an enemy. If your murdered, technically the one who committed said murder, robbed you of your life… Which would make that person a thief in a way.

"Far from an arc, but best undercover" (Kendrick Lamar – For The Girlfriends) | rejected

No, He’s referring to an Arc, that you commonly walk ‘Under’ hence the “UnderCover”

"Her body language gets read / Like a ruby" (Kendrick Lamar – For The Girlfriends) | accepted

Nice wordplay from Ab-soul here.
“Her Body language get’s read/red like a Ruby."
He’s saying that you can read her intentions/emotions as clear as Ruby is red.

"I'm the silent assassin of the four-headed dragon" (Ab-Soul – Black Lip Bastard (Remix)) | accepted

I believe he’s referring to the attention he knew he’d receive for this verse. Jay usually raps straight-forward and heavy, yet keeps it moderately simple and normally won’t display his Lyricism… So most were surprised by this.

He’s the Silent Assassin of the ‘Four-headed Dragon’. He’s comparing his Labelmates/supergroup to a Dragon, considering they spit hot fire.

“Devil In a dress” is a pun on the famous Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels song “Devil With A Blue Dress On”. It was popularized by Kanye’s track “Devil in a Dress” off his My Dark Twisted Fantasy.

The analogy is mainly used to describe beautiful, yet deceitful women… at times comparable to a gold-digger, but their antics can sometimes exceed simply wanting your money.

"Pull up and park in my Caddy / That's when I fuck it up b..." (Kendrick Lamar – Rigamortus Remix) | accepted

When Busta pulls up in his ‘Lac, that’s when shit goes south.

"Little nigga, big dreams, can bear-hug a whale into a lob..." (Kendrick Lamar – Skill Still Appeal) | accepted

He also believes that his hold is capable of squeezing a whale into the size of a lobster’s tail

"They want that shit, they often fiend, I give it to 'em, ..." (Kendrick Lamar – The Recipe) | rejected

“That Shit” is referring to his music, which people fiend for as if it’s a drug. He gives it to them, but he always has time to tie his “Shoestrings” or basically help himself.
