The Biz Never Sleeps is the second studio album by Biz Markie, released on October 10, 1989, via Cold Chillin' & Warner Bros. Records. Commercially, the album peaked at #66 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it his highest peaking album on the chart at the time.
The album’s lead single, “Just a Friend”, went on to become Markie’s biggest commercial hit song, with its #9 peak on the Billboard Hot 100, his highest peaking single on the chart to date. The follow-up single “Spring Again” did not chart.
On April 24, 1990, The Biz Never Sleeps was certified gold by the RIAA.
