10 Day

Chance the Rapper

About “10 Day”

10 Day is Chance The Rapper’s debut mixtape released on April 3, 2012. It’s Chance’s debut solo work after parting ways with collaborator J-emcee with whom he formed a duo called Instrumentality. The tape’s inspiration and name came from a 2-week school suspension that was granted to Chance when he was caught with weed at school.

The tape would later be featured in the Cheap Tunes column of Forbes and would grant him the opportunity to be the opening act of Childish Gambino’s tour.

It can be downloaded for free at Datpiff, or listened to on Soundcloud.

On June 26, 2019 Chance announced that 10 Day would be coming to streaming services along with Acid Rap, and subsequently dropped both that night in anticipation of his debut album.
