Man on the Moon (Music from the Motion Picture)

A compilation of the film’s score performed by R.E.M. and songs associated with Andy Kaufman, including the band’s hit song from 1992, Man On the Moon, which this film is titled after.

The albums lead and only single The Great Beyond, went on to be R.E.M’s highest charted song in the UK (reaching #3 on their charts) and got the band a Grammy nomination for best song writtern for the “Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media” category (which lost to Randy Newman and Sarah McLachlan’s When She Loved Me from Toy Story 2).
