It’s On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa is Eazy-E’s 2nd EP. It is a response to Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. After the several insults Dr. Dre made in his album, Eazy-E decided to release an entire EP dissing Dr. Dre; he is mentioned on every track except “Gimmie That Nutt”, “Any Last Werdz” & “Boyz N Tha Hood (G-Mix)”.
The album was certified 5x Platinum in late 1994 by the RIAA. It’s Eazy’s most successful album, peaking on #3 on Billboard 200 and on #1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
“Any Last Werdz” and “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s” were his two biggest hits … and they both had music videos.
Presumably, the album title crosses out Dr Dre’s name and includes 187um to indicate Dre no longer produced Eazy’s music, as he replaced by producer Cold 187um after a falling out.
187 is the section of the California Penal Code%20Murder%20is%20the%20unlawful,a%20fetus%2C%20with%20malice%20aforethought.&text=(3)%20The%20act%20was%20solicited,any%20other%20provision%20of%20law.) that refers to a murder. The EPs producer goes by the stage name Cold 187um. Presumably, Dre’s name is crossed out and 187um comes afterward to indicate Cold 187um replaces Dre as Eazy’s producer.
