Witness My Growth was released around the same time Slum Village were putting out their third effort Detroit Deli (A Taste of Detroit). The mixtape was a collection of rare gems from the vault that Elzhi recorded from 1997 all up to 2004, including songs from the Out of Focus EP and work with T3 (as Slum Village).
