The Circle in the Square is the third studio album by Flobots,released August 28, 2012, and marking their first album since being dropped by Universal Records after their second album performed poorly both critically and commercially.
The album represents another tonal shift from the group, this time using a religious overtone on the entire album, using metaphors and direct lyrics referencing God, Jesus, and spirituality. The album peaked at #198 on the Billboard Hot 100.
