The Compton Effect

Greydon Square

About “The Compton Effect”

Released August 4th, 2007.

The album’s title has two meanings:

  1. The Compton effect concerns energy loss in x-rays when they eject particles. As you’ll see throughout Grey’s discography, he values education more than anything else, including music.

  2. Grey was born and raised in Compton, California; and was molded by group homes, jails, and gang violence. His father was a gang leader, and his mother gave birth to him when she was 14, and a gang-leader.

As is typical of a Greydon album, he attacks dogmatic religion, mindless politics, and the hateful – and we see that the three often align with one another.
