The Grimy Awards

The Grimy Awards is the third solo studio album by Brooklyn rap legend ILL Bill. It was released in February 2013 by Fat Beats Records. The album features guest appearances from A-Trak, H.R. of Bad Brains, Shabazz the Disciple, Lil Fame, Meyhem Lauren, Q-Unique, O.C., Cormega, Tia Thomas, El-P and Jedi Mind Tricks. A variety of hip-hop veterans produced tracks on this album, such as DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor, Ayatollah and Psycho Les of The Beatnuts.

Bill described this project as such:
“A collection of songs I wrote in tribute of my life’s most important influences. It’s kinda like my own personal awards show delivered through beats and rhymes.”
