S. Carter The Re-Mix

JAY-Z

About “S. Carter The Re-Mix”

First released in May 2004, this mixtape by Jay Z was the second musical collaboration between Hov and Reebok to promote their S. Carter sneaker range. Like their first effort, it was included in the box with May’s ‘New S. Carter’ and June’s ’S. Carter Tennis' shoes. Put together by Lenny Santiago and Just Blaze, the tape consists mainly of remixes of tracks from his eight studio album The Black Album, along with a few freestyles and loose remixes. The first track on the mixtape is six seconds of silence, but when played in a DVD player it appears as the video for “99 Problems.”
