Raw, unplugged and often acappella, Kimberly’s voice is accompanied by crickets, buzzing neon lights, water and the sounds of a sleeping city at 4am.
Venues showcased in this album include the after-hours security hallway of an old airfield, a few park benches, the fountain at St. Edward’s University, The Oaks Trailer Park and a cement pipe in a closed construction site in Kimberly Freeman’s own South Austin, Texas neighborhood.
This is a refreshing glimpse into the quieter, sadder side of the explosive singer, songwriter and guitarist behind One-Eyed Doll.
