Three Dollar Bill, Yall$

Limp Bizkit

About “Three Dollar Bill, Yall$”

Nu metal group Limp Bizkit’s debut was released on July 1st, 1997 and was produced by Ross Robinson at Indigo Ranch Studio in Malibu, California.

The album’s name was selected because of what it implies. The band thought that the phrase “as queer as a three dollar bill” was funny and would either repulse or attract listeners. So they shortened it to “Three Dollar Bill” (implying that they’re queer) and then added “Y'all” to the end of it for some added Floridian flavor.

The album was met with generally favorable reviews and has now been certified double platinum in 2001.
