Bleek’s debut record, it dropped a full 3 years after his start turn on “Coming of Age,” off Jay Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt.
Bleek feels the full force of the Roc-A-Fella label, with production from Swizz Beatz, Irv Gotti and Buckwild, as well as guest spots from Ja Rule, Beanie Sigel, N.O.R.E. and Jay Z himself.
The record managed to go Gold, with the lead single “Memphis Bleek Is…” a huge hit, and one that possibly turned the Jay Z/Nas beef into an actual rap battle, with some claiming it was similar to the track “Nas Is Like.”
