Following his departure to Def Jam, Columbia Records released Nas' Greatest Hits in 2007. The set contained two new songs: “Surviving the Times” produced by former NBA star Chris Webber, and “Less Than an Hour” with Cee-Lo Green, which was previously on the Rush Hour 3 soundtrack a few months earlier. The collection featured four songs from his debut Illmatic, two tracks from Stillmatic and God’s Son, while It Was Written, I Am…, and Street’s Disciple got one song each, with the R. Kelly-assisted “Street Dreams (Remix)” rounding out the tracklist.
Lyrics from Nas' hit single “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That)” are visualized on the album cover.
